thing 1-B
The computer age is upon us. No looking back. We as teachers or students no longer have to wait on printed information. Printed information takes time and is outdated by the time it reaches us, especially books. This technology will enable us to experience the most up to date information. Kids today are a visual community of learners, who are interested on what is happening now. Our world has become so much closer with the computer age. I can see this as a good advancement.

Printed information is quickly becoming outdated! In fact, there are school districts that are moving to not adopt textbooks at all. Instead, they are moving to digital resources that can be updated as needed. Granted, the students have to have adequate access in order for a school system to do that, but it's where I feel we'll be going in the future.
ReplyDelete"Kids today are a visual community of learners..." That's a great way of describing them. They are very attuned visually, which is why anything technology related attracts and engages them. They're a different breed of student from even 10 years ago, and as educators we have to both appreciate and respect that in order to reach and engage them.
